Welcome to Spriha Society. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website located at www.sprihasociety.org (the "Site").

By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you must discontinue use of the Site immediately.[2]

1. General Use and Restrictions
Spriha Society grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes (such as learning about our campaigns, volunteering, or making donations).

You shall not:

• Republish, sell, rent, or sub-license material from the Site.

• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or exploit material on the Site for any commercial purpose.

• Use the Site in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Site or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Site.

• ​Engage in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting, or any other similar activity in relation to this Site.

2. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated, Spriha Society and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and audio clips. All intellectual property rights are reserved and protected under Indian and international copyright laws.[3] You may view and/or print pages for your own personal use subject to the restrictions set in these Terms.

3. User-Generated Content and Conduct
If the Site allows you to submit applications, forms, or other communications ("User Content"), you grant Spriha Society a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and adapt that content for our organizational purposes.

You agree not to submit any content that is illegal, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes on any third party's legal rights. Spriha Society reserves the right to remove any material submitted to our servers, or hosted or published upon this Site, without notice, and will fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities as mandated by law.[4]

 

4. Donation and Refund Policy

• Spriha Society processes all donations with the utmost care. In the unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if a donor wishes to cancel their contribution, we adhere to the following refund policy:

• Refund Window: You must submit a written request for a refund within 4 days of making the donation.

• Contact: Requests must be sent to societyspriha@gmail.com or mailed to our registered office address.

• Required Documentation: Your request must include proof of the deduction of the donation amount. If a physical donation receipt has already been dispatched to you, the original receipt must be returned to our office.

• Tax Exemption Restriction: We cannot issue a refund if the official tax exemption certificate (e.g., 80G) has already been issued for that specific transaction.

• Processing Time: Valid refund requests will be responded to within 7 working days. For international donations, the refund process will take a minimum of 14 days.

• Exception: If a refund is necessitated due to a technical error on the part of Spriha Society, we will refund the donation in full and bear any associated transaction costs.

 

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

• All information on this Site is provided "as is," with no guarantee of completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or of the results obtained from the use of this information. Spriha Society makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the Site or the information, content, or materials included.

• We do not warrant that the Site will be available at all times or that it is free of viruses or other harmful components. You access and use the Site at your own risk.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Spriha Society, its board members, officers, or volunteers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, reliance on its content, or inability to use the Site.

• Nothing in this disclaimer will limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, where such exclusion is prohibited by Indian law.

The Site may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Spriha Society. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services.

 

8. Amendments
Spriha Society reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. By using this Site, you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

 

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal.[5]
