Arhita Biswas
(Founder-President)
Arhita is currently pursuing her PhD from Presidency University, Kolkata. She is working as a visiting faculty at the Department of Sociology at Jadavpur University and at Adamas University. Her research and social work interests lies in the fields of sanitation, gender and education.
Jaya Biswas
(Vice President)
Jaya with an illustrious career spanning over 25 years, has garnered invaluable expertise in the educational domain. With a diverse background that encompasses both the government and private sectors, she has continuously demonstrated her prowess in fostering academic excellence.
Ankita Ghosh
(Founder-Secretary)
Ankita is currently working as a freelance political consultant. She has worked as a School Transformation Lead at Mantra4Change. She also worked as a teacher at B. D. Memorial International School in Kolkata and worked as a campaign manager for I-PAC.
Shirin Roy
(Treasurer)
Shirin is a Clinical Psychologist, passionate about mental health for all and believes that social justice is the most useful form of therapy. She also has prior work experience in the field of disability and is a strong advocate of inclusion. With Spriha, she is involved as a speaker for Let's talk about Periods and manages administrative work.
Priyanka Chatterjee (Assistant Secretary)
Priyanka is currently working at a startup called KNUTS.in as the business development head. She has previously worked as a conference secretariat for Mind Vision Enterprise. She also co-owns Meraki, a small business of hand-painted and customized planters. Besides work, she also enjoys being around her companion animals and family and friends.
Tanisha De
(Field Management)
Tanisha's inspiring journey with Spriha Society began as a dedicated volunteer, selflessly devoting her time and efforts to uplift communities. Currently, she is passionately pursuing her Bachelor of Arts with honors in Political Science from the prestigious Shri Shikshayatan College, fueling her drive to bring about positive change in society.
Rishav Das
(Web Development)
Rishav works as a Business Analyst in the IT industry. Besides his professional job, he enjoys creating designs and has vast experience as an aquascaper. He is a support member of the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations. His long-term goal is to devote himself to wildlife rescue and resolving animal-human conflicts to continue his conservation efforts.
