Learn more about our journey towards becoming a leading Menstrual Awareness NGO
Spriha Society, a non-profit organization in Kolkata, was the brainchild of three women and a dozen caffeinated beverages. In March 2020, we launched our initiative with a focus on gender parity, well-being, and education in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our team grew brighter and stronger as members from different fields and with different expertise joined our non-profit organization. We became a registered NGO in Kolkata under the WBSR Act 1961 in October 2021. Our non-profit organization has worked through several bumps in the road, and we look forward to your continued love and support. Spriha Society promotes alternate forms of education and gender awareness among children, as well as providing menstruators with information and access to healthy menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health.
Our Vision as a Menstrual Awareness NGO
We attempt to empower women in India through our sustainable menstruation NGO by eliminating the myths and taboos around menstruation that inhibit healthy health practices and knowledge. Through skill training and education opportunities, we hope to provide correct information about menstrual health and hygiene management practices to underserved areas.
Our mission is to make the world a place where every menstruator feels empowered to take responsibility for their menstrual health and is supported by her community. Help us remove menstruation misconceptions and create a brighter future for menstruators in India.
Our Mission Towards Becoming One of the Top NGOs in India
Our menstrual awareness organization's objective is to make menstruation a non-taboo issue and to provide every menstruator with accurate information on period health and hygiene management strategies. We are dedicated to dispelling menstrual-related beliefs and taboos that prevent Indians, both rural and urban, from living healthy lives and obtaining a suitable education. This, in our opinion, is a fundamental human right.
We empower marginalized populations by offering long-term menstrual education and skills training, ultimately increasing their socioeconomic standing. By overcoming the menstrual stigma, we seek to create a more inclusive and equitable society in which every menstruator may live with dignity and respect. Our goal is to encourage menstruators to take charge of their health by providing them with unbiased information about menstrual health and hygiene management practices. By practicing sustainable menstruation, you can help us create a world where every menstruator can flourish and reach their full potential.
